The flowers are waking up, which means the bugs are too. That means more time outside and more bug bites. When the itch just won’t stop, I reach for this itch roller bottle.

So Itchy!
I seem to be a bug magnet. My husband and I could sit right next to each other outside, but only I would have any bug bites. I joke that my legs look like that of a three year old boy between the scrapes, bruises, and bug bites. It’s ridiculous.
We get these terrible bugs called buffalo gnats. Buffalo gnats swarm your face and get in your nostrils. Once they come out, I stay inside. Their bites are worse than any mosquito bite I’ve ever experienced. Nothing seems to stop the itching except for this itch roller bottle.
During the summer, the itch roller bottle becomes my best friend. It works even when nothing else does. I swear it’s better than the store bought itch medicine.

3. Finally put on the cap and give it a nice little shake.
4. This itch roller bottle can be applied directly to bug bites.
Diluting the Itch Roller
This roller has a higher amount of essential oils because it is not intended for long term use. This means that the dilution is 5%. If you need something stronger, you can safely double the amounts and go up to 10%.
For children between six and ten or elderly adults a 1% dilution ratio is safe. To do so, use only 1 drop of each peppermint, eucalyptus, and bergamot oil in the roller. Another option would be to make a master blend of the oils and then use only 3 drops of the master blend in the roller bottle.
Using the Itch Roller Bottle
You can roll this itch roller bottle on mosquito bites, chiggers, tick bites, and buffalo gnats. It does not take much rolling to take care of the bites. I just dab the roller on the bite and then rub it in with my finger.
Be careful when using this roller on a body part that will then be covered by clothing. Make sure to use just a dab of oil and rub it in with your finger. This will help avoid oil stains on clothing.
Be careful using this roller on skin that is exposed to sunlight. Bergamot is photosensitive, which means it can cause skin irritation when applied before going outside.
Storing the Itch Roller Bottle
Sunlight causes essential oils to break down over time. This is why most oils come in amber glass bottles. I recommend using an amber or cobalt roller bottle for this allergy blend. Even if you are using amber or cobalt bottles, it is still best to store the roller out direct sunlight.
Essential oils can cause plastic to deteriorate. It is recommended that you store essential oils in glass containers to avoid any problems.
