Does your man have a scratchy face? Have him use some homemade beard oil. It softens the hair and leaves it smelling manly. My husband uses it and we both love it! You don’t even have to tell him that it’s better for him too.

Baby Face
When I met my now husband, he would switch between a full beard and shaved clean. The first time I saw him clean shaven, I told him he looked like a baby face. Unfortunately for him, that nickname stuck. But he seriously looked about 12 years old without a beard. We later came to an agreement that if he shaves his beard, I will quit shaving. Needless to say, I’ve not seen his baby face since.

What’s in Homemade Beard Oil?
Fractionated coconut oil is one of the carrier oils for this recipe. It will help to condition the hair as well. Plus it helps prevent split ends.
Jojoba oil is also a carrier oil that also conditions the hair. It is good for sensitive skin and has a mild scent. It has been shown to help strengthen, lengthen, and thicken the hair too.
Sweet almond oil is a carrier oil, but is a moisturizing power house. It can even help reduce the signs of aging.
Essential oils will make your man smell good, but can also benefit the beard depending on what blend you put in.

Homemade Beard Oil Recipe
Ingredients
2 tablespoons fractionated coconut oil
1 tablespoon jojoba oil
1 tablespoon sweet almond oil
10 drops of essential oils
Instructions
- Mix together all of the oils in an amber glass dropper bottle. This will protect the essential oils from the light and make it easy to use.
- Then put the lid on and give it a good shake to combine everything. Now your man is good to start using homemade beard oil.

Using Homemade Beard Oil
Put a small amount, about the size of a pea, in the palm of your hand. Rub your hands together and run them through your beard. This works best on a damp beard.
Work from top to bottom.
For long beards try using a beard brush to help distribute the homemade beard oil.
Shorter beards only need once daily application. Longer beards may benefit from applying it twice a day.
