I Don’t Feel So Good
When I was a little girl, my mom would read to us in the car on long trips. I remember her having to pause periodically though because it would make her nauseous. I was too little to understand it at the time and just thought she was tired of reading. Then I grew up. Now I can’t read very long in the car without taking a break to look out of the window. As it turns out, she wasn’t as silly as I thought she was.
I have never been one to get motion sick. As long as I spend a good amount of time looking out of the window, I’m ok. One year, I rode in the backseat of my mom’s car on the way to the beach. She drives a sports car and takes curves like she’s in a Nascar race. That was the first time I ever experienced motion sickness while looking out the window. Although she denied all claims of her Nascar like tendencies, my stomach disagreed.

About the Oils in the Nausea Relief Roller Bottle
Peppermint is the first oil that comes to mind when I think of nausea. Probably because I give my students peppermint candy when they don’t feel well. Peppermint has long been used to soothe an upset tummy. Peppermint is safe for children over 6 years old. Avoid using peppermint on mucus membranes, if you are pregnant, or have epilepsy. I know many women that have used peppermint during pregnancy and been fine, so use your own judgment there.
Ginger can also help soothe a bit of nausea. It is commonly used to help with morning sickness and motion sickness. Ginger is a photosensitive oil, so avoid direct sunlight after applying. It is much the same as peppermint as far a pregnancy goes. Use your own judgment.
Fennel is particularly useful when your nausea comes from a digestive problem. This makes it mighty useful right after Halloween or Thanksgiving. It is safe for kids over 6. Don’t use fennel if you have epilepsy or cancer. If pregnant, use your own judgment once again.

Using the Nausea Relief Roller Bottle
Apply the nausea relief roller bottle to the inside of your wrists, belly button, or around your stomach. Having it on your wrists allows you to smell it anytime you bring your hands near your face. This works very well for car rides or very bothersome nausea.
If you are wanting to use this on children under 10, I suggest using only 3 drops of ginger in the bottle with some fractionated coconut oil. Ginger is safe for kids and this dilution ratio is safer for kids.
Storing the Nausea Relief Roller Bottle
Sunlight causes essential oils to lose their effectiveness over time. Consequently, it is best to store them out of direct sunlight. This is why I keep my roller bottles in amber roller bottles and inside of a wooden drawer.
In addition, it is best not to store essential oils in plastic. They will cause it to deteriorate. Therefore, I recommend storing essential oils in amber or cobalt glass bottles.
