What’s that on Your Face?
Being a woman comes with a lot of great things. A monthly breakout is not one of them. As a teen I remember trying to hide pimples and convincing myself nobody would notice them. Truthfully my efforts were a waste, but nobody really noticed them because they were all so focused on themselves. I remember babysitting and a little kid asked me what was on my face. There was a zit right in the middle of my forehead. I didn’t know what to say because zit and pimple sounded like bad words. So I told them I was turning into a unicorn, so that was my horn growing. It felt way cooler being a unicorn than a pimply teenager.
I finally decided to stop trying to hide every spot that appeared and just embrace them instead. I had tried chemical acne spot treatments, but the pimples just reappeared later. Every night I would wash my face with a soap guaranteed to clear up breakouts. None of it really worked and despite embracing them instead of hiding them, I still wanted them gone.
After much research I switched to an all natural foaming face wash. Although my face still had spots pop up, it wasn’t as many as before. Next to go was the astringent full of false hope. It was replaced by a homemade facial astringent. Then I read that the chemical pimple creams encouraged them to come back. So I turned to using essential oils instead. One zit roller bottle later and I was quite pleased.

About the Oils in the Zit Roller Bottle
Lavender essential oil is soothing the skin. This will help reduce redness and swelling. It helps clean the skin, which will help prevent breakouts.
Tea tree essential oil is a natural cleanser so it is good at preventing acne. Tea tree oil is the key ingredient in this zit roller bottle. If you don’t have the rest of the oils, just dab a bit of tea tree essential oil on the pimple.
Frankincense is good for all things skin. Many of my skin recipes include it because it’s good for all things skin related. It can also help to cleanse the skin, but it’s very gentle. This makes it great for using on the face, since that skin is very sensitive.

Zit Roller Bottle Recipe
Ingredients
Lavender Essential Oil
Tea Tree Essential Oil
Frankincense Essential Oil
Instructions
- In an amber glass roller bottle, add five drops of each lavender, tea tree, and frankincense essential oils. Top the bottle off with fractionated coconut oil.
- Apply this roller to pimples as needed. Just a dab will do. I suggest doing it before bed so that it has all night to work.

Diluting the Zit Roller Bottle
This roller has a higher amount of essential oils because it is not intended for long term use. This means that the dilution is 5%.
Storing the Zit Roller Bottle
Sunlight causes essential oils to break down over time. This is why most oils come in amber glass bottles. I recommend using an amber or cobalt roller bottle for this allergy blend. Even if you are using amber or cobalt bottles, it is still best to store the roller out of direct sunlight.
Essential oils can cause plastic to deteriorate. It is recommended that you store essential oils in glass containers to avoid any problems.
