Need a little help with those cuticles? Keep your cuticles moisturized and your nails healthy with a cuticle roller. Sometimes the tough skin around the nail requires some extra love, especially in the winter when your hands are already dry.

The Tool Never Used
As a little kid, I was fascinated by all the things found in my mom’s bathroom. There was makeup, perfume, and all sorts of tools to help you get pretty. I remember finding a cuticle tool one day. Mom started explaining it, but I had no idea what cuticles were. I remember her showing me how to use it. And I’ll be honest, that was the last time I’ve ever done anything with my cuticles. So I’ve let my mom test out this recipe instead, because she likes these types of things.

What’s in a Cuticle Roller?
Geranium essential oil helps soothe the skin and reduce redness.
Tea tree essential oil helps fight off infections and reduce inflammation.
Rosemary essential oil encourages nail growth, increases circulation, and reduces inflammation.
Vitamin E oil is nourishing and helps to moisturize the cuticle. You will find it in many of my hand soaps and lotions.
Jojoba oil is easily absorbed by the skin, which makes it an excellent carrier oil for this recipe. It will moisturize those cuticles.

Cuticle Roller Recipe
Ingredients
Geranium essential oil
Tea tree essential oil
Rosemary essential oil
Instructions
- First add 2 drops each of geranium essential oil, tea tree essential oil, and rosemary essential oil to a roller bottle.
- Then add 5 drops of vitamin E oil to the roller.
- Top it off with jojoba oil. Close the bottle and give it a good shake to mix it up.

Using the Cuticle Roller
The cuticle roller works best when applied frequently. If you want to see results quickly, I would suggest at least once a day before bed. The dilution is safe for daily use. Roll it on your cuticles and around the edge of your finger nails. Right before bed is the best time so that it can soak in all night.
Sunlight can affect the effectiveness of essential oils. Therefore, I recommend using an amber glass roller bottle for the cuticle roller. You should also avoid leaving it in the heat, such as in the hot car.
