Does it sound like a freight train rolls through your bedroom every night? It does mine! My husband, the cat, and I all snore. My husband and I both use the stop snore roller bottle to save the ears of the one already sleeping.

I Snore, He Snores, We all Snore
My husband can fall asleep within seconds of his head hitting the pillow. I will toss and turn for hours. The problem is that unless it’s dead silent, I can’t fall asleep. Early on in marriage, I would elbow him or poke him with my fingers right between his ribs. Then he started complaining that his ribs hurt and he didn’t know why. Like any good wife, I grinned and said, “Huh, that’s weird.”
I mixed up the stop the snore roller bottle and rubbed it on his chest. When it’s allergy season or he is stuffy, I like to put it on his back and chest. He isn’t a fan of having to get greased up to go to bed, but his mysterious rib pain disappeared. Go figure.
I have really bad allergies in the springtime. This means that the tables turn and it’s his turn to listen to me snore. I put the stop the snore roller on my chest and back to avoid any mysterious rib pain.
As for the cat, he snores whether he’s awake watching birds or asleep in the bed. I nudge him and tell him to use his nose holes appropriately.

Fractionated coconut oil or other carrier oil
Instructions
- First add 2 drops of peppermint and 2 drops of eucalyptus to the roller bottle.
- Next put in a single drop of each marjoram and lavender.
- Lastly, top off the bottle with carrier oil. I use fractionated coconut oil.
- Apply to the chest and along the spine before bed.
Notes
This recipe is for a 10ml bottle, which makes the dilution ratio 2%.
The Stop the Snore roller bottle is safe to use on children 6 or older.
How to Use the Stop the Snore Roller
Apply the roller to the chest.
Roll along the spine before bed.
Think about applying it like you might vapor rub. This dilution is safe to use on a daily basis, if needed.
How to Adjust the Roller Dilution
To make it safe to use on the upper lip, which is one of my favorite places to put it, cut this recipe in half. You should do the same if it is going to be applied to children or the elderly. You can make this as a blend then only add 3 drops to the roller bottle or you can modify the recipe.
Modification
1 drop peppermint
2 drops eucalyptus
1 drop marjoram
1 drop lavender
If the snoring doesn’t stop, you can double the amount of essential oils in the original dilution, but only use it short term, like during allergy season or illness.
Storing the Stop the Snore Roller
Sunlight causes essential oils to lose their effectiveness over time. Consequently, it is best to store them out of direct sunlight.
In addition, it is best not to store essential oils in plastic. They will cause it to deteriorate. Therefore, I recommend storing essential oils in amber or cobalt glass bottles.
What if I’m Missing an Oil?
Peppermint
Peppermint can be replaced with frankincense, monarda, myrrh, or eucalyptus. These have similar therapeutic properties.
Eucalyptus
Tea tree, monarda, manuka, or cajuput can be used instead of eucalyptus. They have similar properties, so whether you dislike the scent or are sensitive to the oil, it can be swapped out for any of these others.
Marjoram
Instead of marjoram, you can use lavender, basil, rosemary, or peppermint.
Lavender
It is an emergency at our house if the lavender runs out. But have no fear because chamomile, basil, or romemary can be used as a substitute in this stop the snore roller.
