Have I convinced you to switch out your conventional body products yet? Swap those chemical filled shower gels for the DIY foaming body wash. With 3 simple ingredients you can ditch the chemicals and still smell great.

Cleans Good and Smells Good Too!

When looking into switching to natural body products, one ingredient kept coming up. Yes, castile soap was part of just about every recipe and for good reason. If you are looking to switch from a conventional shower gel to something more natural, then castile soap is about to become your best friend. I’ve finally made a great DIY foaming body wash and it starts with castile soap. I’ve got a whole post about castile soap if you’re interested in why it’s so great.

Why Use DIY Foaming Body Wash?

Conventional body wash is filled with Parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. None of them are good for your skin or endocrine system. Parabens can mimic estrogen which causes problems with your hormones and have even been linked to breast cancer. Sulfates strip the oils from your skin. But they’ve also been shown to leave residue in the heart, lungs, and brain. Phthalates are linked to all sorts of products including obesity, cancer, infertility, asthma, and behavior problems.

None of the ingredients in my DIY foaming body wash contain any of those. There are no endocrine disruptors or harsh chemicals. Just natural ingredients that help clean and moisturize the skin.
