A Dippy Lunch!
Going through school, I brought a lunchbox every single day. Not once did I ever get a tray. My mom packed my lunch everyday until I was old enough to do it myself. She refused to give us a Lunchable or an Uncrustable. She tried to keep our lunches exciting and varied the foods she packed. Although, I did request and receive a tuna fish sandwich everyday in kindergarten. After I quit begging for tuna, she came up with so many fun lunch ideas. We had mommy-able lunches, which she claimed were better than a Lunchable because they were made with love. She bought thermouses so we could have hot meals like soup, ham with scalloped potatoes, and even warm hotdogs. Like I said there was always a variety.
Although there was variety, she always packed a protein, a fruit, and a vegetable. Because we were little kids and fairly picky eaters, we needed some encouragement to eat some of the fruits and veggies. One lunch that we often had in the warmer months was a dippy lunch. Everything in the meal had a dip to go with it. Carrots and ranch. Chicken tenders and ketchup. Apples and yogurt dip. Dippy lunches were also served on the patio during the summer. The quick yogurt fruit dip was sweet enough to satisfy a sweet tooth, but healthy enough to please my momma. Another favorite was the peanut apple dip. My brother and I would like the container clean when she gave us peanut butter dip.

- Then slice up some fruit and enjoy!

Serving the Quick Yogurt Fruit Dip
This quick yogurt fruit dip is good on just about any type of fruit. Apples are by far the most common in my house. It’s also good with strawberries and grapes. I’ve even been known to dip watermelon and cantaloupe when it’s on a fruit platter.
This dip is runnier than yogurt so I suggest using a soup spoon or small gravy ladle to serve it.
